Eating vegan does not necessarily mean sacrificing taste.  As a matter of fact, some of the most amazing meals we have ever had were at vegan restaurants. They all combine seasonally fresh and local ingredients to create delicious innovative dishes. Eating at any one of our top picks would convince even the most skeptical of eaters, that Veganism is more than a trend.

Our Favorite Vegan Restaurants:

SIGGIS –  newly opened in February 2017!  Conveniently located in the heart of the city, SIGGIS is far more than just an incredible restaurant with delicious food! Find out why in our spotlight interview here.

Gratitude – directly situated in the vibrant and hip neighborhood of Maxvorstadt, a chance to eat at Gratitude restaurant should not be missed!  The dishes here are the prefect example of innovative and creative meals, utilizing locally fresh, seasonal ingredients.  Always packed, reservations are recommended, especially on weekends.

Max Pett – a modern vegan restaurant located near Sendlinger Tor that is well known for their vegan version of the traditional Wiener Schnitzel.  Max Pett offers an extensive menu with daily specials, providing an ample amount of options for brunch (Sat/Sun), lunch or dinner.
Tip: You will not find alcohol on the menu but instead homemade refreshing herbal drinks, as well as, alcohol free beer, wine and cocktails!

Tushita Teehaus –  a local favorite in the Glockenbachviertel, famous for the unique tea drinking “experience“.  Tushita Teehaus also cooks up a vegan daily menu, as well as, smoothies, homemade cakes and desserts. We also recommend this place as one of City Starling’s favorite Cafés in Munich – Coffee, Tea Cake & More.

Katzen Tempel – is the very first cat cafe to open in Germany. It is located in Maxvorstadt and serves plant based meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  The staff includes 6 adorable rescue cats, whose sole job is to bring a smile to your face. Whether you are there to enjoy a relaxing main meal, or just stopping by for coffee and cake, this cafe is a true animal lover’s delight!  A new cafe opening soon in Nuremberg, as well as plans for expansion in other German cities.

So Ham – find your inner bliss while enjoying a vegan meal at this wonderful little cafe.  So Ham is connected to the Jivamukti Yogaloft.  It offers changing lunch and dinner menus. The perfect way to fill up on goodness after an awesome yoga sesh!
