8 Best Specialty Coffee Roasters in Munich

Do you take your coffee seriously? Well, for the true coffee lovers out there, we have found the best specialty coffee roasters in Munich just for you.

By “specialty” we mean the whole cycle: from farm to cup using single origin coffee beans produced in special micro-climates. The soil from these climates gives the beans a unique flavor. As for “roasting“, this is the process which gives coffee that characteristic flavor. Some coffee drinkers are even roasting coffee at home as a hobby. You don´t have to experiment though. Why?

We went on the hunt for some truly taste worthy coffee beans and found an assortment of flavors that I hope most of you will enjoy. Here are some cool spots where you can hit PAUSE and enjoy your roast before going on with your day.

Tierras Volcanicas (CLOSED)

This wonderful coffee shop takes great pride in their product and approach to business. The specific micro-climate with fertile volcanic soil produces a unique coffee bean (100% Arabica) specific to this region. The farm is located on steep slopes at an altitude of 1300m.

The single farm, single origin concept was chosen due to the stability and eco-farming standards of Costa Rica: no chemicals, no exploitation of rainforest, fair pay and support of cooperatives; all in the name of sustainability. I´m in!
