Our Top Natural Beauty Product Shops

Who doesn’t love looking and feeling their best?  What you put on your skin is just as important as what you put in your body.

In fact, I have seen it written on some forums and blogs, that 60% percent of what you put on your skin is directly absorbed into the body.  There is a lot of debate on the subject of this statistic and whether or not this a myth.  But regardless if this is true or not, I personally feel that limiting your exposure to daily toxins can only be a good thing!

I recently made the switch from my standard “toxic”  ingredient beauty routine to a more “natural” one and have seen significant improvement in the condition of my skin, hair and nails.  The transition did not happen all at once because finding the right products can be a bit of a “trial and error” process.  For example, I started with soaps, body/face washes and lotions, then moved onto shampoo and conditioner.  I felt it was important to begin there, as larger portions of my body were exposed to these items more often.  After that, I then proceeded with finding the right make-up. I am still in the process of finding the best mascara to replace my favorite, but this has been one of the more difficult products of mine to replace.

Munich has several drug stores and large chain organic (Bio) Supermarkets where you can find a wide rage of natural beauty products.  There are also several places online to purchase these products as well.  But if you would like the opportunity to potentially try or test a product before purchase, then we can recommend the following shops:

City Starlings Top Picks:

  • Beauty & Nature – A huge assortment and one can easily spend several hours in this store.
  • Mueller  – The best assortment for a large chain drug store. Both the Mueller shop am Tal and the Mueller in the Riem Arcaden have the best assortment.
  • Organic Luxury–  A private location and they offer beauty services as well.
  • TOBS The Organic Beauty StoreA very unique and fairly new store.
